1 John 3:1-3

Look how much the Father loves us.  Why shouldn’t we be called his children?  We are!  It explains a lot.  People “get” us about as much as they “get” God.  Friends, think of the implications!  We are “children” of God now, but who knows what we’ll grow up to be!  If Jesus is any indication, we’ll someday be just like him.  Whoever lets themselves hope in this will find themselves cleansed - and just as perfect as Jesus.
