1 John 3:10-13

ἐν τούτῳ φανερά ἐστιν τὰ τέκνα τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τὰ τέκνα τοῦ διαβόλου πᾶς ὁ μὴ ποιῶν δικαιοσύνην οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ὁ μὴ ἀγαπῶν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ   ὅτι αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ ἀγγελία ἣν ἠκούσατε ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς ἵνα ἀγαπῶμεν ἀλλήλους   οὐ καθὼς Κάϊν ἐκ τοῦ πονηροῦ ἦν καὶ ἔσφαξεν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ χάριν τίνος ἔσφαξεν αὐτόν ὅτι τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ πονηρὰ ἦν τὰ δὲ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ δίκαια καὶ μὴ θαυμάζετε ἀδελφοί εἰ μισεῖ ὑμᾶς ὁ κόσμος

You’ve been born into this world, but who are you a child of, God or the Accuser?  All people who refuse to practice virtue aren’t related to God - there’s no love in that kind of family.  Remember the first message, the one you heard loud and clear:  Cain slaughtered his brother like an animal, and for what?  Nothing.  True family loves mutually.  They may have been related, but Cain’s actions were vindictive.  His brother’s actions were faultless.  Don’t be surprised if this happens to you.  The world is full of Cains.
